Overview

The Night Banquet explores how classical painting language can be reinterpreted through contemporary characters, objects and emotional tension.

Problem

The challenge was to respect a classic visual structure while creating a new story that feels personal and current.

Wireframe

The early composition sketch defined the positions, light direction and narrative focus before painting began.

High Fidelity

The final work uses dramatic contrast, detailed portraits and carefully placed objects to build narrative tension.

Prototype

The process documentation functions as a visual prototype of the painting's construction.

Motion

In the website, this project is best shown with slow reveals and detail-focused scrolling rather than product-style motion.

Reflection

The project shows how my art training shapes my UX work: attention to composition, emotional tone and symbolic detail.

Research

  • Studied the lighting and composition of The Supper at Emmaus.
  • Designed scene layout, costume details and symbolic everyday objects.
  • Documented the painting process from sketch to color blocking and detail refinement.
